GISUP is an annual symposium started since 1999 in collaboration of universities between Korea and Japan. Since 2015, Taiwan also joined the symposium and made it more global. From 2016 year universities from USA and China will also join the symposium. Moreover, this year the symposium is second joint collaboration effort with Korean Society for Geospatial Information System (KOGSIS). The location is a popular tourist resort located in close proximity to Chuncheon city. The provincial capital is a city with lakes, rivers and surrounding hills. It offers many festivals, river side aquatic sports and activities. Famous foods in Chuncheon include Makguksu and Dakgalbi. It is also within an hour subway to Seoul. We believe that this workshop will offer be a platform to share knowledge and experience among scholars. Moreover, it will be an excellent opportunity to visit Korea and experience Korean traditional culture at first hand. We look forward to meeting you for a great experience in Korea.
